This article about motivation was really interesting because it dove deep into the science of motivation and how our brain gets motivated. The author said that to be completely motivated we need to make a schedule that helps us keep motivated everyday. The author gave many examples of this like when the author said that Haruki Murakami wakes up at 4 AM, writes for five hours, and then goes for a run. Reading that tells me that some people are only successful not because they're smart or talented, its because they have a schedule and everyday they push themselves so day by day they feel accomplished. Also, when the author related Newton's first law to this it really made sense. The author said that Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. Once a task has begun, it is easier to continue moving it forward and that makes a lot of sense because when you start a task its easier to lose interest and not stay motivated. Finally towards the end of the article the author reminds us that this is just life and that everyone experiences this and that you should feel proud that you're stepping up and are trying to find ways to motivate yourself.

This article was interesting because it showed me what continues improvement actually means. Before I thought that continues improvement means when you greatly improve after each challenge but I was wrong. Continues improvement means that we should focus on improving 1% everyday instead of a great amount. While reading i noticed that the author made a good point when he said that we as humans want people to acknowledge our improvements and that's true, there have been times where I though that I need to show everyone that I've improved. Also, the author made a good point in saying that if you improve by 1% everyday for a year by the end of the year you will be 37.78 times better than you were at the start of the year. This is why we as humans must focus on working our way up by fixing our little mistakes and turning them into our positives. Finally the author gave us 3 different steps on how to improve; 1. Do more of what works. this means that if what your're doing right now is already successful find new ways to improve that method or do it more frequently. 2. Avoid tiny losses. this means that you need to try not to make little mistakes that can overtime turn into bad habits. For example if you're goal was to lose wait and if you keep delaying your workout over time your passion and confidence will fade away and all that time you've spent has gone to waste. 3. Measure backwards. This means that instead of only looking forward we must look backwards and see what mistakes we've made and find ways on how you could've done better. Also, by doing this you can clearly see the different things that you need to work on to improve whatever you're doing. In conclusion I believe that the author did a good job on explaining what it means to "continuously improve" and how I've now learned many things and now know ways on how I can improve by life step by step.
I agree that we should work on our habits rather than our goals. I agree with this because as I was reading the article i realized that some of the goals that I want to accomplish can't be accomplish because of my habits. For example just like the author said if I want to win something i first need to see whats preventing me from reaching that goal. I can't win or accomplish a goal if i don't work on my habits that prevent me from reaching that goal because completing a goal tells yourself that you've worked hard enough and now you've reached the point that you want to reach. But, if i do complete my goal just like the author said then i won't have anything to motivate me to reach a new level which will then force me to not practice anything which in tun bring me down rather than up. Finally, when you complete a goal you feel happiness for only a little bit but if you constantly work on your habits you'll always feel accomplished and you will feel as if you're getting better and better day by day.
Digital citizenship is your online citizenship. When people make an account they’re essentially utilizing technology to participate in social, political, governmental activities that allows them to share their own opinions and thought to millions online. Digital citizenship is important because it help me people express themselves to the world wether it’s in a good or bad way. Also, it helps the newer generation communicate in a way never seen before. Being able to talk to others and share our ideas in a blink of an eye is an amazing privilege but we need to keep that privilege. Just like being a real citizen you need to be respectful to people and treat them with kindness and generosity. Just like in real life people can get bullied online so it’s important that we teach the newer generation that talking bad about someone is still not right even if it’s on the internet. Finally, just like in real life we need to keep our private information safe. Things like passwords, names, phone numbers, addresses need to be protected so people won’t be able to steal your identity and slander your name all over the internet.
